Useful Links

This link is for the American Psychological Association. It has useful information about matters related to psychology and other mental health access information.

This link is my favorite for general health information on the web. It has excellent in-depth articles covering a wide array of health and psychological topics. Go here for a summary of any important health or mental health issue first. It makes a great starting point for doing your own research.

Go here for the Encyclopedia of Psychology. This is a good site for a quick definition of a term or information about a well-known psychologist. But it also has much, much more including invaluable information about psychological publications.

This is a site that offers support-related online communities. The site includes message boards, chats, organization information and other useful information about most health matters, including psychological problems. The site also offers a bookstore.

This site is one of the most well-known and used sites on mental health. Dr. Grohol's Psych Central is an annotated directory of useful sites and resources. You will certainly want to check it out if you are interested in more detail about a topic.

MedWeb is another great site for medical information as well as mental health material. It has useful stuff about consumer health as well as important drug information.

This site links to the American Psychological Association's Help Center. It provides general information for anyone who may be thinking of obtaining psychological services and talks about how such services can be of benefit.

This site is dedicated to the idea that knowledge is useful and empowers people to help themselves. There is an area devoted to discussion as well and the site can translate itself into Spanish.

This site is called Mental Health Resources and is sponsored by About, a site that provides great content in so many other areas. Their mental health site is like WebMD in some ways in that it provides a more authoritative summary than most sites. This is a must if you are doing more intensive research into any mental health concern.

This is the American Psychological Association's Office of Public Affairs site. The content is organized by topics and the site is designed to offer resources. It also provides contact info for state and local psychological associations.

And finally is this link to fun psychological tests. Don't take anything here too seriously but humor does have a place in our lives and this site can be one place to have fun with psychology.
